The Position
We are looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join our Perioperative team on a fulltime basis, however we will also consider suitable applicants seeking part time opportunities. Our busy theatre complex supports a variety of services including ophthalmology, neurology, general surgery, ENT, urology, orthopaedics, gynaecology, vascular, endoscopy and plastics.
Working in this specialized area you will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of clinical standards and will be directly responsible for:
- Scrub/Scout
- Provide exceptional nursing care and advocacy for your patients in theatre
- Assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate the care needs of patients
- Continually monitor patients conditions, report changes and escalate concerns during procedures
- Anaesthetics/PACU
- Coordinate and deliver patients anaesthetics and recovery needs
- Identify and appropriately escalate patients changing needs
- Demonstrate the Eastern Health value of patients first, ensuring safety and positive outcomes
About you
To be successful in the role you will have:
A minimum of 24 months Perioperative experience in Perioperative nursing
- Post Graduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing will be highly regarded
- Current registration with AHPRA (essential)
- Successful completion of a nurse graduate program (essential)
- Recent acute nursing experience (within Australia)
- Post graduate qualifications will be highly regarded

- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Must be able to work to a rotating
roster - Valid Police check and current Working with
Children check - A commitment to person centred care and service
excellence - Must Have Covid Vaccine (3 doses)
